The client is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join their fast-paced team. In addition to delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring accurate medication dispensing, you'll oversee daily operations in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, including staffing, compliance, and customer satisfaction. This is a tight-knit, small town pharmacy that focuses on building patient relationships. Administer immunizations and vaccines, following established protocols and safety guidelines. Deliver MTM services to optimize patient outcomes and ensure the appropriate use of medications. Support inventory control processes, including ordering and stocking prescription and over-the-counter medications, maintaining accurate stock levels, checking invoices, and ensuring accurate computer entries. Assist in coaching, counseling, and training pharmacy staff to ensure high standards of performance and adherence to policies. Accurately fill and verify prescriptions while ensuring full compliance with OBRA ’90 regulations and providing appropriate counseling to patients. Assist in the reconciliation and balancing of third-party accounts to ensure accurate billing and payment processes. Strictly adhere to all security protocols, regulatory procedures, and company policies to ensure a safe and compliant pharmacy environment. Required Qualifications: Licensed as a pharmacist in good standing in the state of Iowa. Must complete continuing education to maintain license. APhA Immunization Certificate and able to administer immunizations. Current CPR certification. Maintains health screenings/assessments as required by MCMH. Attends and completes all hospital required in-services and educational requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Six months to a year of similar or related work experience preferred. Prior experience in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred.
