Temporary Pharmacist In-Charge

PharmServ is excited to present an opportunity for a Pharmacist In-Charge at a mental health and rehabilitation center near Bettendorf, IA. The client is seeking a temporary PIC for one month beginning the end of March through April, working up to 40 hours a week. Full 40 hours are not required, but you must be able to work with other pharmacists.

This is a community-focused facility, providing comprehensive care to adults and children. They provide a broad range of services, from telehealth to a crisis stabilization program. This role will provide you the opportunity to lead inactivates and collaborate with a wide range of staff to ensure the patients are receiving the optimal medications to lead healthy lives.

Pharmacy Hours:

Mon, Tue, Thurs: 8am–7pm
Wed, Fri: 8am-5pm

Required Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Valid pharmacy license that is in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy in the state of Iowa.
• Ability to lead a staff effectively as well as integrate with different leadership amongst the facility.
• Patient-focused.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Review medication orders, ensure all medication orders are appropriate, accurate and tailored to each patient's condition.
• Review patient medications to optimize outcomes.
• Oversee inventory, checking stock levels, ensuring pharmacy has required supplies.
• Maintain and uphold compliance with state and federal regulatory compliance laws.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and create schedules to ensure pharmacy is appropriately staffed. Leading annual performance reviews.
• Serve as a liaison between the pharmacy and other departments.
• Continually seeking opportunities to learn and teach staff on the latest research on medications and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Former PIC experience.
• Former clinical psychiatry experience is highly valued.
